Mathematical Models of Malaria: A nonlinear systems analysis of a complex disease
A model of the life cycle of the parasite Plasmodium falciparum in humans and mosquitoes is integrated with epidemiology of malaria in a human population. The result is a composite model that guides studies of controlling the disease in populations that are stratified by chronological age, infection-age, and geographical distribution.
